University of Chicago Alumni Establish Endowed Scholarship in Perpetuity

CHICAGO – Jinhee Wilde, Esquire, who received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago’s undergraduate college and her Juris Doctorate from Loyola University of Chicago School of Law, and Dr. David Wilde, who received his MD and PhD from the University’s Pritzker School of Medicine and completed his surgical residency at the University of Chicago hospitals, have established a new scholarship fund at their alma mater.

The Jinhee Wilde Esq. and Dr. David Wilde Odyssey Scholarship Fund will provide financial assistance to deserving students, with a focus on helping minority and first-generation college students, in recognition of the role the University played in the couple’s lives and careers.

“The University of Chicago holds a very special place in our lives,” said Jinhee Wilde. “It’s where we met and where our first son was born. It gave us an excellent educational foundation, and we want to give back in a small way to ensure that current and future students have the same opportunities we did.”

“We are particularly pleased that over 40% of the Odyssey Scholarship will go to minority and first-generation college students,” said Dr. Wilde.

Jinhee Wilde is a successful immigration attorney, ranked Top 100 in the country, and Dr. David Wilde is a researcher and senior medical officer overseeing clinical trials at the National Institutes of Health. Both credit the University of Chicago for their outstanding education, as well as their long and happy marriage.

The Jinhee Wilde, Esq. and Dr. David Wilde Odyssey Scholarship Fund will provide support in perpetuity, ensuring that generations of students can benefit from the generosity of Jinhee and David Wilde.
